Kidde Australia has a range of dry chemical powders that are suitable for a range of extinguishers with a variety of ratings.  The Pyro-Chem brand of powders, along with Angus Fire Monnex, are used extensively around this world in most major brands of extinguisher. 

AnGUS Monnex

Angus Fire Monnex is renowned as the world’s most powerful dry chemical powder for all flammable liquid and gas hazard fire fighting including those with an additional associated electrical hazard (Class BE).  Made at a single plant certified to ISO9001:2000 in the UK, high performance Monnex is based on potassium allophonate, a special potassium bicarbonate-urea complex originally developed by ICI.

Pyro-Chem Powders

AB(E)90

This powder is UL listed and has a minimum content of 90% monoammonium phosphate.  It is suitable for all higher rated extinguishers and is the premium powder in the range.  The powder is hydrophobic and free flowing.

AB(E)70

The 70 grade dry chemical powder has a minimum content of 70% monoammonium phosphate.  This powder is suitable for most ratings and can be used for the majority of extinguishers.

AB(E)40

The 40 grade powder is an economical powder with a minimum of 40% monoammonium content.  It is hydrophobic free flowing powder.

BE

A white free flowing powder based on sodium carbonate.  This dry chemical powder is suitable for all BE extinguishers.
