The Kidde Vehicle System (KVS) is designed to control detection and suppression functions. The KVS unit uses a fast-response infrared fire sensor, spot heat detector or linear heat sensing cable to detect fires quickly. It provides visual and audible alarms to the vehicle operator, shuts down the engine and activates the fire suppression system.
